Meet the Team
There’s something very special about the kind of pediatricians and psychologists who choose to work at Ollie so that they can give patients the kind of attention that they aspired to when they became doctors. Our specialists feel the same way!

Dr. Melanie Vega
Hi, I’m Dr. Melanie Vega, and I’m proud to bring deep clinical expertise and a thoughtful, holistic approach to pediatric care at Ollie.
I’ve always been drawn to science and medicine, knowing early on that I wanted to make a meaningful impact in children’s health. After earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology, I attended St. George’s University School of Medicine. I completed my clinical training in Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, followed by a pediatric residency at Mercer University in Georgia, where I served as chief resident in my final year.
Because so much of pediatric care involves understanding and managing infections, I went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric infectious disease at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. I’m board-certified in general pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric infectious disease. This advanced training allows me to provide families with a higher level of insight, precision, and confidence—especially when it comes to complex or recurrent conditions.
What drew me to Ollie is our shared belief that exceptional pediatric care goes far beyond the exam room. I value a proactive, integrative approach that blends medical expertise with personalized attention. I believe in the power of nutrition, movement, mental wellness, and collaboration with trusted specialists to give each child their strongest foundation for lifelong health.
As a mom, I know how important it is to feel heard, supported, and confident in your child’s care. That personal perspective shapes the way I practice medicine—combining deep clinical knowledge with practical understanding and a true sense of partnership with families. My goal is for families to feel that they have a true partner—someone who takes their child’s health as seriously as they do.
Fun Fact
Half of my brain is science and the other half is art. I once dreamed of being an art curator and still have a bucket-list goal of appearing in a movie one day.

Dr. Alejandra Sisniegas
Hi! My name is Dr. Alejandra Sisniegas, Ollie’s primary care and child psychologist, and I love empowering children and parents to overcome difficult times. I am a fellowship trained psychologist, and I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I have worked with hundreds of families, children, and adolescents to address concerns related to behavior, development, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and adjustment to medical diagnoses.
My Style: Building a strong and trusting relationship with my patients is key! We all know it feels so good to be around people who are non-judgmental and make you feel comfortable – this is always my goal when I am in a room with a family. Ollie’s “Curious Mind” approach aligns with the “natural curiosity” that I bring when I work together with families to help them achieve their goals.
My Intervention Approach: Of course, my dedication to the families I serve is connected to my love for science and psychology. That’s why I went through many years of specialized education and training: To make sure I deliver quality, evidence-based care that is proven to give results!
The integrated model of care at Ollie Pediatrics aligns with my philosophy as a clinician, as it is a model of healthcare that is not only highly researched but proven to produce better health outcomes for our patients and families.
My Training Background: I had the honor of completing my pre-doctoral internship at one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation – Children’s Hospital Colorado, where I served children, adolescents, and their families within an integrated primary care (IPC) setting. My training in IPC allowed me to work with pediatricians, nurses, psychiatrists, and other disciplines to provide comprehensive care. I witnessed science first-hand 😍, as I saw the benefits of prevention, early detection, and early intervention on the children and families that I worked with. This is one of the many reasons I am so excited to be an integral part of Ollie Pediatrics. You are the expert in your child, and I am the expert in child development and intervention – Let’s join forces to help your children and your family thrive!

Dr. Giselle Garcia-Rivero
Hi! I’m Dr. Giselle Garcia-Rivero, a proud mom of three wonderful kids and a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience caring for children and families across South Florida.
My journey in pediatrics began at the University of Miami, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I spent my early years as a neonatal ICU nurse at South Miami Hospital—an experience that taught me the power of compassion, precision, and teamwork in caring for our tiniest patients. While there, I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at Florida International University, eventually earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from UM as well. Go Canes!
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving families in a variety of specialties—pediatric oncology, cardiology, and primary care—each deepening my commitment to family-centered, culturally-sensitive care.
Today, I work in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at the UM Mailman Center for Child Development and am an assistant professor at the UM School of Nursing.
Through Ollie Pediatrics, I’m excited to bring high-quality, personalized care right to your doorstep. I love getting to know families where they feel most comfortable—at home—and partnering with parents to support their children’s growth and well-being.
Fun Fact
Outside of medicine, music has always been my creative outlet! I’ve been singing since childhood, performed with a cover band all through college, and even had the honor of singing the national anthem at Marlins games.

Ericka Parra
Hi! I’m Ericka Parra, and I’m honored to support families at Ollie Pediatrics as a Parent Coach. For over a decade, I’ve worked with children and their parents as a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, helping families navigate the everyday challenges of parenting — from tantrums and sibling dynamics to picky eating and independence.
My passion for understanding children began early in my career, but becoming a mom deepened that understanding in ways no textbook could. I realized that at the heart of every healthy parent-child relationship is connection — that deep sense of security and trust we call attachment. My work now focuses on helping parents cultivate that connection, so they can raise confident, emotionally secure children while rediscovering the joy in parenting.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a specialization in Behavior Analysis from Florida International University and became credentialed as a BCaBA in 2017. My approach combines science and empathy — blending evidence-based strategies with real-life understanding. I believe lasting change happens when parents feel supported, understood, and empowered with practical tools that actually fit their family’s rhythm.
As a mom of five children ranging from toddlers to teens, I know firsthand how complex parenting can be — and how small, intentional shifts can transform family life. My goal is to help parents feel seen, equipped, and confident in their unique journey.
Fun Fact
I wanted to be a children’s librarian when I was a child. I often will spend a Saturday morning in the library with my kids exploring new books.

Ramses Rivero
Hello I’m Ramses one of Ollie’s Founders. I’m glad you’re here and championing for our shared purpose to help your family not just survive but thrive. As a father of five, I understand firsthand the unimaginable joys and challenges of parenting. My personal journey through the pediatric healthcare system highlighted critical gaps in access, efficiency, and family engagement—insights that inspired us to launch Ollie.
It is safe to say that this ground breaking model of care was born when I had my first child over twenty-five years ago. I was raised by single mom so when I found out I was going to be a father, I really wanted to be a great dad. The first books I remember reading said how the first five years of a child’s life sets the social/emotional foundation for the rest of their life. WHAT!? Talk about pressure. What I quickly realized was that although raising the next generation of human was the most important “thing” I would ever do the level of community and expert support did not match the task.
As a Founder I get to blend my years of entrepreneurial success with my passion for parenting and create that team for you. I created a practice designed to provide families with world class medical care, seamless access to their care team, family mental wellness, innovative technology, a team of curated experts and a supportive community. You’re doing the hardest thing you will ever do and I have created a group of critical supporting villagers so your family can thrive. As a parent coach I get to help parents truly embrace their parenting journey and find all the joys in parent life. I empower parents to create the family lives they want to live and to accept nothing less. I help them see through the daily demands of life to ensure there is always space for love and connection in the home.

Monica D. Pavlova
Hello I’m Monica one of Ollie’s Founders. Congratulations on your parenting and/or child caregiving journey. As a mom of two small children I can attest to the immense joys and the real struggles of mothering today. Our family is also a blended family so I get to be Bonus mom as well which has its own world of emotions. What I did realize early on as a mom is that it truly takes a village to raise these little humans. This is where for me our healthcare and family support systems have all fallen short.
When I founded Ollie the top initiative was uncompromising medical care with ease of access. My world, as most Moms, stops when my children are sick so this was the top priority. My pediatric visits involved phone calls, dealing with hurried administrative staff, a wait in the waiting room, another wait in the patient room followed by a 3-minute doctor visit. Then while getting to the car I remembered the other five questions I had for the doctor and stressing how hard it would be to get them on phone. Oh, and now turn on gentle-parenting because my toddler just realized they are wearing the “red” sweater and having a meltdown while I’m putting her in the car seat.
I have totally embraced “Mom Life” but that’s not the pediatric experience I want for myself or any other mom.
The next top initiative was that Ollie was going to be of service to parents and the next major parental concern after physical wellness is mental wellness. Like most parents I want to make sure my children are in excellent physical shape but also mental and emotional shape. So back to Ollie’s mission of uncompromising care we will have a Doctor of Psychology on staff. Additionally, your in-house care team will have a parent coach, sleep consultant and a list of close advisors to help with nutrition, lactation, education guidance and caregiver training. Finally, a membership concierge to help coordinate all your specialty consultations outside of Ollie. Our shared mission with Ollie is to transform the pediatric experience but my personal mission is to give moms and dads more space to enjoy their little humans.
