Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you provide sleep coaching for?

Our support begins long before what most people think of as “sleep coaching.” We start helping families build healthy sleep habits as early as the prenatal period, providing practical guidance and education that evolves with your child’s development.

For most families, simple sleep guidance is all that’s needed. When more individualized support is appropriate, we begin with a thoughtful evaluation of your child’s sleep patterns, temperament, medical history, and your family’s routines and goals. Formal sleep coaching typically begins around 6 months of age, when babies are developmentally ready, using a personalized approach tailored to your family’s values and your child’s unique needs.

How does sleep coaching work at Ollie?

We believe better sleep starts with understanding your whole family — not following a one-size-fits-all program. For many families, simple guidance and small adjustments are all that’s needed. When more personalized support is appropriate, our Certified Sleep Consultant begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your child’s sleep patterns, temperament, development, medical history, and your family’s routines and goals. Together, we create a personalized plan and provide ongoing guidance and adjustments until your family is sleeping more confidently.

Do you use cry-it-out?

No. Cry-it-out is not part of our approach. We believe healthy sleep is built through understanding your child’s development, temperament, and emotional needs — not by leaving them to cry alone. Our Certified Sleep Consultant uses gentle, evidence-informed strategies that help children learn healthy sleep habits while preserving the parent-child bond and giving parents confidence every step of the way.

How long until we see results?

Every child and every family is different. Some families notice meaningful improvements within the first few nights, while others require several weeks of consistent support and adjustments. Your sleep consultant will set realistic expectations based on your child’s age, sleep challenges, and developmental stage, and will continue refining the plan as your child progresses.

Is sleep coaching included in membership?

Every Ollie member receives age-appropriate sleep guidance as part of their pediatric care — from pregnancy through childhood. For families who need more comprehensive, individualized sleep coaching, additional support may be recommended depending on your membership and your child’s needs. We’ll review all available options with you during your discovery call.
