Feel prepared. Feel confident. From the very first feed.

Because breastfeeding isn’t just something you learn. It’s something you live.

You spend months preparing for birth, but once your baby arrives, breastfeeding quickly becomes one of the most important parts of caring for your newborn.

Many parents quietly wonder:

  • Will it hurt?
  • Is my baby getting enough milk?
  • What if my baby won’t latch?
  • What if I feel overwhelmed?

These questions are incredibly common.

Preparing before your baby arrives can make those first days feel calmer, more confident, and far less overwhelming. You’re not just learning technique, you’re understanding what’s happening in your body, what’s happening with your baby, and how to navigate both, together.

And most importantly, you’re supported, not questioned. At Ollie, breastfeeding is encouraged, guided, and supported, never rushed, never dismissed.

What you’ll learn

This workshop is designed to give expecting parents both practical knowledge and reassurance before their baby arrives.

Because there’s a part no one really talks about.

  • That your baby may feed 10–12 times a day.
  • That nights won’t feel like nights anymore.
  • That you might feel both exhausted… and unsure.

You often see images of calm, effortless breastfeeding but the first days can feel very different. Because breastfeeding isn’t one-size-fits-all. Every mother is different. Every baby is different. Yet most advice remains generic.

In this workshop, we go beyond the basics.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Achieve a proper latch and avoid pain from the very beginning
  • Understand what’s normal… and what may need support
  • Prevent common mistakes that often create unnecessary stress

We also clarify what’s frequently misunderstood:

  • Pain is not something you should “push through”
  • What you pump is not always what your baby receives
  • Newborns are not designed to sleep long stretches early on

And most importantly, we prepare you for real-life situations when your baby won’t latch, when feeding feels painful, when you worry about your supply, or when something just doesn’t feel right.

So instead of guessing… you’ll know how to respond with confidence.

Partner Support

Partners play an important role too. Breastfeeding is often described as a bond between mother and baby. But partner support can make a tremendous difference in helping moms feel confident and successful during the early weeks. During the workshop we’ll also discuss how partners can support breastfeeding, including practical ways dads and partners can help during the newborn stage.

Speakers

Maggie

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Founder of Baby2Breast

Maggie is a Miami-based lactation consultant dedicated to supporting families through every stage of their breastfeeding journey. Her passion is rooted in her own experience, where she navigated challenges like low milk supply, supplementation, and painful latching while nursing her son, Jake.

With the guidance of a lactation expert and strong determination, she was able to breastfeed until they were both ready to wean.

Today, she empowers parents with compassionate, personalized support, grounded in the belief that breastfeeding is 10% skill and 90% determination.

Mariana

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Founder of Mamalactea

Marianna’s journey began with her own breastfeeding experience, navigating challenges with the support of a doula and lactation expert. Driven to turn this experience into expertise, she committed to the rigorous path of becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), completing years of training and hands-on experience.

Inspired to help other mothers, she started volunteering in a hospital’s mother-baby unit and went on to found Mamalactea. Today, she supports families with empathy, expertise, and a deeply personal understanding of breastfeeding.
